Emile has over 30 years experience across all functions in the life insurance industry. He started his professional career in the life insurance business with the Life Insurance Corporation of India in 1977. During the course of his 22 years with the organization he held important positions both on the marketing and administrative side.
With the opening of the insurance sector, Emile joined Birla Sun Life Insurance in its formative stages as Vice President with responsibility for building the branch network on a national scale. He contributed substantially to the overall strategic direction adopted by the company.
On the Agency front, starting from scratch, Emile built a solid agency force of over 75,000 advisors operating from 339 offices in 5 years and was involved in rolling out another 400 branches in the following years. Emile implemented best practices across the channel, introduced innovations in business development, and built a high performance sales culture as evidenced by the large number of early starters, recognition club members and MDRT members the company has produced over the years.
Emile has a degree in economics and is a Certified Coach. Emile has come to be known as a friend and mentor of the field force. Innumerable stories testify to his knack and passion for helping entrepreneurs achieve extraordinary results, realize their life dreams, and, in the case of insurance salespeople, achieve the professional heights of MDRT, COT, and TOT, year after year.
